A little bit about why I, along with my family, have developed this website...
As a mother of two sons living in an earthquake and fire-prone area in Southern California, I have always been concerned as to how to make sure my family's immediate needs (including our pets) would be taken care of if stricken by a major disaster.
Years ago, although I had created my own version of a disaster preparedness kit at home, I was concerned what would happen if a catastrophic event occurred during the day when the children were in school. Individual survival kits were basically non-existent, and the schools were not prepared with the basic necessities for safety and comfort of the students and teachers, even during a short-term school crisis situation.
Today, fortunately, there are many different kits and items available for any type of emergency. We have located reliable sources for these preparedness needs and have taken the steps necessary to ensure that our family will be ready for whatever disaster may come our way.
Knowing that we and our loved ones are prepared ahead of time has brought us such peace of mind, we feel this is a must for every family and workplace. There is nobody who will not rest easier at night, knowing they have a plan and are prepared for whatever may come their way.
Every effort has been made to ensure that this website is as user-friendly as possible for our blind and visually impaired friends.
